Go easy on this brew!

If your goal is to be different, why settle for merely drifting a little outside the lines? Better to blow through the corner, dragging a big ol’ eraser behind you, rendering indistinguishable any trace of the old norms.

In what seems to have become a “high spirited” arms race among brewers, Scotland’s BrewDog has unveiled their latest assault on sobriety, a concoction they call Sink the Bismarck. At 41% ABV, it recaptures the strongest-beer crown from Schorschbock, who introduced a 40% ABV beer in January.

What might such a brew taste like? I confess that I’m curious myself, but until I can get my hands on a bottle (donations accepted!), I’ll have to take them at their word:
“A full out attack on your taste-buds ensues as the incredibly smooth liquid delivers  a crescendo of malt, sweet honey, hop oils and a torpedo of hop bitterness which lasts and lasts.”
